An Experienced Crafter

I've had a passion for making jewelry since I was a young girl. I used to love going through my Mom's treasure boxes of necklaces, earrings and rings. I loved the shiny feel of the metals and the sparkles of the stones. When I was 12 years old I was messing with shaping brass wire into bracelets and rings, (photo left) long before it was called "wire wrapping",  I moved to the beautiful small town of Sun Valley, Idaho in 1981 where I had the good fortune to learn the craft of metalsmithing from some amazing artists. Working as a full time bench jewelry, my duties included, among many other tasks, casting and finishing hundreds of the world famous 14k gold Sun Valley Sun pendants. I fabricated metals and acquired the skill for simple stone setting.

In the early 90's I met and married my husband and we were gifted a beautiful daughter. I managed our family business and it allowed me to work from home. I continued to pursue my craft on a part time basis until our daughter was independent .Nine years ago I was introduced to Precious Metal Clay. After my first class I was hooked. I purchased a kiln and never looked back. Two years ago I began wire wrapping, my latest passion. I weave sterling silver, fine silver and copper wire. As you will discover most of my pieces are embellished with gemstones and beads. My pieces are available at Moon Shine Boutique in Ketchum, Idaho. I will keep you updated on upcoming art festivals. I hope you like what you see!
